Copic Certification

On Friday, August 8, 2014, a friend (Wendy Cox) and I received our Copic Certification.  It was a busy day of fun.  We had an amazing time learning from Lori Craig.  We had a medium size class, which made it wonderful to ask as many questions we needed too.  Many of the ladies shared blog information and ideas of different projects they have used their Copic Markers on.

Thank you Lori Craig for teaching use the details listed below:
  • Foundations
  • Coloring
  • Colorless Blending
  • Product Compatibility
  • Mixing Mediums
  • Airbrushing
The details of the class was very informative and will be helpful as I continue to work with my Copic Markers and see what opportunities that it opens for me.

What's Cooking?

It's getting Hot in here.  LOL, when I saw this image, Culinary Claire by The Stamping Chef, I had to have her.  This was the first time I colored Culinary Clair,e but I think she turned out good.  I didn't have (kitchen) paper that matched the pink I used in her outfit; so I used my kitchen stamps to create the paper I needed.

I stamped and embossed the kitchen items such at wooden spoon, whip, bowl, pot holder, pie, cookie and cupcake.  I used pink and black card stock and black ribbon to create the Sexy Image.

Skin Tones: E000, E00, E02
Pink: Sorry...I had so much fun coloring her that I forgot to write down what Copic Markers I used.
Eyes: B32, B34
Glossy Accents:  Eyes & Lips

I would love to know what you're thinking.....would you color this image and give to someone special in your life or sell it?

Something New: Punk Hair Color

I love Saturated Canary Stamps!  I have never tried coloring punk hair and just had to try it.  This stamp is called: Honey.  It really turned out pretty good for my first time.

I used the following Copic Markers:
Skin:  E000, E00, E01
Hair:  V04, V05, V06
Shoes:  W00, W01, W03, W05
Outfit:  G02, G05, G07
The bunny was colored with the same colors of the hair but covered it once.
Then pulled my card together with flowers, brads and line stitched around the border of my white paper.

Can You Say.....Sassy!

This is a Saturated Canary Stamp-Breeze.  I though I would try coloring her hair black.  Black tends to be a challenge for me but I tried.  I know that I have more to learn with the markers but it turned out great.  I would love to hear from you and know what your favorite stamp you like.  So, please leave a comment and share.  Have a great day!

I used the following Copic Markers:
Hair:  C1, C3, C5, C7
Skin: E00, E01
Dress:  R24, R27, R29
I added Stickles (Christmas Red) to her dress and Glossy Accents to her eyes & lips.

Happy Father's Day!

I had a request to do a Father's Day Card.  She requested a card with a Firer Fighter and an airplane.  Her husband is a Firer fighter and also works as a Refueler for an aviation company.  This is what I came up with.  I used My Favorite Things Stamps: Firer Fighter Stamp & Airplane Pilot along with the Airplane Die.

Inside the card was a personalized picture of his wife & two daughters.
I used the following Copic Markers
Skin:  E000, E00, E01
Pilot's Hair:  E21, E25, E29
Flames:  YR09, YR68, YR37
Pilot:  G02, G05, G07 (suit & goggles)
Firer Fighter: R24, R27, R29, R59
Boots: C3, C4, C5
I used my air compressor for the skyline background:  B02, B04

Your feedback is important; please let me know what you think or if you have questions.

I tend to created a simple look to what I do but love the outcome.  I keep busy with my family and try to work on crafts at night when they go to bed.

Here are a few items that I have been creating for our family reunion.  Below are book markers for a few girls that love to read.

I used the following Prima Dolls by Julie Nutting. They are Cling Mounted Stamps and they are so cute.
I stamped the image of the book marker and the color the hair and skin with Copic Markers.  I then stamped the Prima Dolls on paper that I wanted to use for their clothes.  (This is a great way to use scrap  paper/material)  Then cut & pasted the clothes to the book marker; once they were complete, just laminated.  I hope the girls love them.

I thought I would try something different and used my Copic Markers to color another Prima Doll-Becky and attached her to a wooden picture frame.

I know there will be a few people in the family wanting this picture frame.
I would love to hear your feedback.  Have you every tried using your picture frames for your creative work?
